To fulfill this duty, they have enlisted the services of an accredited company to conduct monthly inspections and comprehensive annual checks. After each inspection, it is mandatory for the hiring party to submit a report to the Thai Airport Authority, the governing body responsible for overseeing the safety and security of Phuket Airport. Recent inspections were conducted in January for elevators and February for escalators. The commitment to maintaining a safe and prepared environment at Phuket Airport is of paramount importance, in accordance with established standards. These upgraded escalators are equipped with advanced safety systems, including sensors that immediately halt operation if an object becomes trapped in the comb plate or side brushes, thus ensuring the safety of escalator users.
