Popular Post TallGuyJohninBKK
So a drunken regular Thai policeman shoots and kills his Thai Immigration officer wife.... More of the same, what can you say.... The same pattern of disreputable, criminal behavior by those charged with enforcing the laws keeps getting repeated over and over again...in all its various iterations. jcmj
The police should be required to turn in their gun when their shift ends, and sign it out when starting their shift. I know that they may have another gun, but this could help save more lives from drunk policemen. There have been way too many shootings like this happening lately. Do I expect them to do this? No, but they need to do something. 1
Popular Post Bangkok Barry
Just today's expected report of yet another male wimp killing his wife or ex-partner etc. There'll be another tomorrow - which is what I also wrote yesterday and I'll no doubt write tomorrow. Just part of Thai culture. There are things we can bet the house on that we'll read of on this site every day: a wife/ex-partner beating or murder, a motorcyclist or three has died, a sedan/pickup/lorry has overturned with fatal consequences, often after hitting a power pole by the road. Just a part of everyday life here. 1

RichardColeman
So, either 1. did not check his gun in and went home and shot the wife with a police gun. 2. Had an illegal fire-arm not registered. 3. So much for legally registered guns !

If I remember rightly the police have to purchase their own firearm (pistol) so not illegal, I think that they have to pay for their own uniform as well, I'm sure other members will know better than me. AustinRacing
Typical Thai mentality. Take the quickest way (usually not the correct way) to deal with things without foresight.
