Weather Chiang Mai October / November

Featured Replies

What is the general weather like in Chiang Mai end October early November? Still raining like here in the South of Thailand or is the worst of the rainy season over?

Thanks

Still some downpours but not as frequent or heavy. By November just a few days (so Google says)

Thanks, think to do some cycling with a change in scenery so hope for dry weather and have only been up there February / March previously.

It’s possible the rainy season may extend to later in the season than usual since it seem to be running a little late this year. Never know with elnino weather patterns, anything can happen.

check with weather websites.....its as simple as that

Hazy hot smokie with a hint of oxygen like most days from memory ????

Thanks , yes I have observed the delayed rain season here also so have to take it into consideration.

Do weather websites live in Chiang Mai year after year and generally have some experience in weather patterns seasons to seasons?

no idea

Its hard to say. It can be one of the following.

Cool season comes early. Get up early and you will feel the chill in of 18-20'c. Afternoon 30'c ish and noticeably cool in the evening. Dry and sunny. Cool seasons do come early but not very often. 20/1 outsider.

Its seems unseasonably hot, very little or no rain. No hint of the cool season. Rainy season has ended. This would be my predication for this year.

Some years the end of Oct early Nov is very wet and the feeling is, will the rainy season never end? Floods in the city but only in the usual places by the river. No hint of the cool season.

You could also get a combination of all 3. A couple or wet days, generally hot and sunny and one or two cool season mornings.

Also the air quality will be much better than FEB MAR so no worries there.

Stunning clear views this month with PM2.5 close to zero. Recommend omega-3 supplements.

OP: October is generally good, November best month not too hot and mostly dry. There are zillions cyclists here they must have their social things to look into.
