Pheu Thai constrained by “political mathematics”

Pheu Thai party deputy leader Phumtham Wechayachai admitted today (Friday) that how the party proceeds in the formation of the new government will be dictated by “political mathematics”.

He expressed his appreciation to about 40 Palang Pracharath MPs, led by Pai Leeke, who have offered unconditionally to vote in support of the party’s prime ministerial candidate, Srettha Thavisin.

He said that Pheu Thai has made clear that it wants to form a “special” government, which does not side with any political faction, in order to resolve the crises confronted by the country, adding that, after the selection of the prime minister, the party will start the process of forming the administration.

The PTP campaign message was that the political parties it now wants to avoid offending and taking sides against were the same political parties causing the "crises confronted by the country."

Maybe he is ignorant of the common, highly descriptive, easily understood term for his "Special" government, which is:  "Government of National Unity".

Anyway, too late for that chum.......the cracks that were so easily papered over previously have now become yawning chasms.

It also ignores another glaring truth, which is: The people/faction that convincingly lost the national elections are in the way, and will only accept a  "Puppet Government" and a de-facto "One Party State".

That is their sole aim.

The fuse burns on.......

Certainly not constrained by morals, integrity, honesty or decency though.

Complete and utter ......... . Well if you don't want to side with any particular faction why is it that's exactly what you're doing. Let's take the word faction out and call it for what it is. Political party. You were happy to side with MFP in coaltion. You were happy to kick MFP out of the coalition then you ask them to vote for your PM nomination and you are happy to get into bed with parties in the junta coalition which are the sworn enimies of PT. This is an infantile attempt to try and keep the hoardes of their voting base which are currently abandoning them. This whole fiasco is shameful. It's a pity it's not getting international attention because it deserves to.

Mathematics in Thailand... Nuff said! Perhaps they should borrow a TAT calculator to boost their chances. LOL

Well, Pheu Thai wants to win power at any price. The rest is just talk.
