Anyone recommend a good nursery with wide variety of garden plants and pot plants suitable for terrace. I know there are many around, are prices pretty comparable? Especially looking for bouganvillia.

Heading to Nathon from Chaweng,the last nursery in Maenam,the one closest to Concept furniture. From the road it has 2 levels,with heaps of Bamboo.They have bougainvilleas there different sizes & shapes.

Bougainvilleas vary in price, due to size & maturity.I found, that it's because it's one of the largest nurseries here they are very competitive.They also own the new one further down the road,they have some unusual variegated palms that suit a terrace.

I will take pics of the ones at home SBK & post them.They are in pots at the moment, but will need 2 people to carry the pots when you buy them.

They look like yukkas but grow large.

SBK you can take cuttings off the & replant them & shape them to whatever you like.

Nope, and not a palm either. But still very nice, I have a fondness for variegated plants. Sounds like they have a good selection of unique plants there Rooo. Worth a visit next trip to Samui I think. I wonder if they will deliver to the boat?

does anyone know where to buy banana trees of the glieu hom variety, ie the large regular bananas, not the small ones that grow everywhere.

best ask someone who has got this variety, to cut you a sapling/shoot or a few, my neighbors gave 'em for free!

My Experience is that any nursery on 'mui is much more expensive then f.E. the mainland Surat-all way to Nakhon!

Cattleya and other varities of Orchids f.E. sell for 25-40 Baht at Chatuchak/Bkk in 'mui prices beyond 400.- are often asked!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is after the "Hospital/Immigration" Intersection - Nathon, approx. 300 m direction Lipa Noi a Nursery ("Pan Don") to the right - found him/her quite reasonable and helpfull.

This guy supplied many new housing estates like the Santithani etc..
