Anything being imported into the country, regardless of age, is potentially subject to duty, the rate depends upon what it is.

 

New, used, gift really makes no difference.

 

Duty will be charged on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) value and then VAT on the total.

 

Low value stuff often gets through unmolested, particularly if sent via the regular mail system, use a courier (FedEx, DHL etc.) and you are very likely to get charged.
