Phuket Immigration told The Phuket Express that they inspected an area in Soi Mai Khao 6 in Mai Khao sub-district following a report by a concerned citizen. Three Chinese men were found who were identified only by their ages, 34-years-old, 29, and 55-years-old. They were found having 168 days of overstaying their legal visas to stay in Thailand. Quote India's Department of Homeland Security specifies fines based on the extent of visa overstaying as follows: A visa overstay of less than 90 days attracts a fine of USD 300.00. A visa overstay spanning 91 days to 2 years incurs a fine of USD 400.00. Overstays exceeding 2 years necessitate a penalty of USD 500.00 Even with the overstay fine it will be cheaper than Thailand!
