Opinion: Move Forward Party’s Risky Game and Mixed Reactions

It is both amusing and ironic to witness Senators, Pheu Thai, and Ruam Thai Sang Chart all ganging up on the Move Forward Party (MFP) for playing a political game to secure both the leader of the opposition and the first deputy house speaker positions on the opposition side.

It is amusing because they have done worse things in the past.

What is not amusing is that the MFP might be heading down a slippery slope if they are not careful. The next time they want to criticize the Senators or the government for engaging in outdated political games, fingers will be pointed back at them for this.

The Senators are the worst culprits in this saga since they came into power through a junta-drafted charter and committee. Because of them, the people’s mandate from the previous election was thrown down the gutter.

They're not going to care, it's the oppositions job to make life hell for the government - not lick their boots.

Betrayed by almost all former allies , their job is now to show all that is wrong with the new government .

Hopefully the potential voters for the next general election will remember ...

MFP  won the election but got conned  out of having even a single  MP in the cabinet. They are being accused of dirty political tricks to secure the speakers posts by the very people that used dirty tricks to rob them after the election.

Good on you MFP learn all the dirty tricks from the masters of deceit currenty in power before the next election you will need it!

We want the party in power who will stop the absurd 90 day reporting, will stop the absurd TM28 or TM30 requirements and stop the requirement to produce residence certificates for any petty administrative issue.

Who really cares what "we" (BTW you are not speaking for me) and you are certainly not speaking for the Thai people whose country you are staying in.

As with your usual rants and whines, you only seem to care about yourself.

I don't. I'd like them to sort Thais problems out first and foremost, especially poor Thais before tackling such terribly important issues like 90 day reporting. And if you were in the UK or US I'm damned sure you would be demand that the government did something for the British or the Americans before tackling immigrants or ex-pats problems. You are suffering from colonial syndrome where you expect everyone around the world to bend over backwards for you. The world has moved on my friend.
