Hi am going for a visarun in end of this month, i come from Norway and i dont got any visas for staying in thailand, so i coud only stay 1 month. I heard from a guy here that he goes to laos and gets 3 month visa there, but he gotta stay in laos for around 14 days. Anyone know more about this?

Am not sure if i should go to laos or cambodia. I been in cambodia 2 times before but i only get 30 days. Can i get more in Laos? 60 or even 90 days?

I know so many guys around here that dont work and stay in thailand over 3 months, but i cant ask them how, cuz their english is quite bad.

Last time i was in Thailand i was here 3 months and after that i had to stay in Norway 3 months. Is there a way i can stay here longer when i dont got a real job here yet?

You can obtain a tourist visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet, Laos that would provide you a 60 day stay that could be extended for another 30 days. This would require overnight stay or about 28 hours - there would not be any need for 14 days. Cambodia is a very poor choice for a tourist visa and you can only obtain 30 days by crossing the border and return and with that kind of entry you are limited to 90 day in any six month period.

As long as you can find a Consulate to issue you another visa you never have to go anywhere other than there to get the visa. The only limit on stay is the 90 days in six months and that only applies to days that you are here without a visa (on 30 day stays).

30 days = entry without visa = new rule not more than 90 such days in a six month period.

60 days = tourist visa = obtained from Consulate = 60 day stay with 30 day extension from immigration possible. No set limit.

There is no visa that allows a four month stay. But you can return to obtain a new visa until they say don't come back again.

People have stayed in Thailand for many years - but there is no guarantee that new requirements - as in the new 30 days in six month rule - will not appear at any time.

Other than the fact you are not in Norway I really don't know where you are or where in Laos you want to go.

From Bangkok there is bus service to Udorn or Nong Khai to visit Embassy in Vientiane from Morchitt II (North Bus Station) and suspect the one way price would be about 1,000 baht (have never seen round trip tickets myself). You could also get bus to Mukdahan I suspect to visit Consulate in Savannkahet.

There is also train service to Nong Khai.

Expect trip would be 10-12 hours each way
