farangsay
My Firefox is playing up again (trouble bookmarking) so I was going to "slash'n'burn" uninstall and reinstall. Now I know how to find (and save and restore) my existing bookmarks thanks to info from this forum. Can I side-save and then re-insert my saved passwords ? Barty
I cannot help you with your problem but I recommend that you use MozBackup when you get it sorted out. It backs up and restores bookmarks, passwords, history etc. It can be downloaded at http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/
sfokevin
Add this extension to your Firefox browser... Once setup it saves your bookmarks to an off site server... It is great for me... I have multiple computers and this automatically syncs all of them so I have the same bookmarks on all of my machines :> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410

farangsay
Thanks guys and sorry for not saying so earlier. I did download and use that Mozbackup thing. Bookmarks still disappearing periodically but I just restore from backup.
Gary A
I really like Firefox but I was having so many glitches that I just got tired of having to back up and always fix things. I finally downloaded SeaMonkey and my problems are all solved. It uses the same add ons that I used for Firefox and as far as I can tell it is even faster. I really don't understand why it is not more popular. I think it's the best browser I have ever used. I use IE Tab, Adblock Plus and FlashGot.
