BANGKOK, Oct 30 (TNA) – The extension of nighttime entertainment venues’ operating hours will be proposed to the Cabinet by December 15, said Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

 

He has revealed the government’s policy to allow nighttime entertainment venues to operate until 4 a.m., with a specific focus on tourist destinations such as Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Bangkok.

 

The government is set to establish designated zones for extended operating hours and is open to feedback from the public in these specific areas.

The feedback will be we all want to open... sod the consequences, a bit like the weed debacle.

Not just specific bars/clubs in certain areas with licences to operate, every 2-bit bar will want the same hours.

 

Well they seem to have forgotten Pattaya in their tourist destinations. Considering Pattaya is well known for its nightlife you’d think that it would be high on their list, but maybe they are assuming that most people know that most of the popular bars here already have later closing hours and brown envelopes to keep them.

Doesn't the word 'mull' suggest that some debate and thinking will occur during the Cabinet meeting? Surely this cannot be true?
