A chemical factory within the Bang Pu Industrial Estate was engulfed in flames, resulting in the immediate evacuation of nearby residents. Firefighters swiftly responded to contain the blaze, clearing the area by 7.30am. The fire was reported to have originated in a chemical storage warehouse within the factory complex.

 

By 8.25am, reports suggested that the fire was yet to be fully controlled. In response, officials expedited the evacuation of individuals in the surrounding area. The local disaster prevention and mitigation officials, alongside the Bang Pu Municipality, provided additional support to extinguish the fire. Although the fire was largely contained, the task of clearing the area was still ongoing.

 

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries or fatalities. The images of the incident were provided by Nakon45 and Ayawut Poamai.

As officials continue to investigate the cause of the fire, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential hazards associated with chemical storage and manufacturing. It also underscores the importance of swift and effective emergency response procedures in preventing injuries and loss of life.
