MartinL
I'm thinking of converting my spoked, tubed-tyre wheels to be able to fit tyres without inner tubes. I can do it myself using Outex or similar kit, although it can be fiddly and time-consuming OR can have it done by these people for about 4,500 ฿ - https://www.facebook.com/vptubelesswheel/ I know nothing about them. Has anybody used them - or know somebody that has - for tubeless tyre conversion and can offer an opinion of their work standards and performance of the kit? novacova
Personally I wouldn’t use outex tubeless conversion on spoked wheels because of the potential of water seeping through the spoke nipples. Why not use tubeless wheels? It would certainly be safer. I have a bike with spoked wheels that are tubeless, I use tubes just to be safe given that within the first 500km the bead failed. krbkk
I am driving a Harley Davidson Heritage Classic with spoke wheels I have changed my Rims to Tubless with a 3M-Tape 2 years ago and it is save and I am happy the change must be very carefully and on safety level. I am located at Bangkok, near Lam Sali Intersection. If you have interest, you can visit me and I can show you about the change to tubless.
