Why are the "ready-rolled" ones in the shops so well made?

Recommended Posts

OK, for fifty years I've been rolling numbers that were I have to say it "meh".  Almost all were smokeable, some needed "repairing". The ready-rolled ones in the shops I've found are PERFECTLY MADE - what's their secret? Do they have a machine?

The cone is already made and then they fill it. You can do it with the end of one of those cheap soup spoons. Saw that on a video today.

By the way, when I was young I used to roll cigarettes by hand and, by rolling in reverse, with the roll part facing outward/away from me (so rolling only by touch and could not see what I was doing), I could roll near perfect looking cigarettes.
