Last 2 weeks I noticed my track pad becoming inactive. I usually use the blue tooth mouse that came with the  computer but on occasion need the track pad. I don't think it is the track pad itself as initially when I put my fingers on it may work for 5 to 10 seconds then just stops moving. Any ideas? 

Check mouse and trackpad settings. Check your function keys to see if there's an "enable/disable trackpad" key.
