Social Media Posted March 22 Share Posted March 22 The Republican-led House Judiciary Committee has taken legal action by suing two Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys involved in Hunter Biden's federal tax investigation. The committee seeks to compel them to testify as part of its investigation into whether Hunter Biden received favorable treatment and whether President Biden abused his power to influence investigations into his son. The lawsuit targets tax division attorneys Mark Daly and Jack Morgan, who had previously been subpoenaed by the committee along with other DOJ officials. The committee accuses Daly and Morgan of defying their subpoenas and states that they have firsthand knowledge of irregularities in the DOJ's investigation that may have benefited Hunter Biden. The move comes amid growing discontent among House Republicans regarding the prospect of impeaching President Biden. The committee argues that obtaining all relevant facts is necessary to craft legislative reforms and assess whether the president has committed impeachable offenses. A spokesperson for the Justice Department expressed disappointment with the lawsuit, stating that the department has cooperated with Congress and provided extensive information. The spokesperson emphasized the sensitivity of ongoing criminal investigations and prosecutions, suggesting that seeking to depose line prosecutors about such matters could be detrimental. The best revenge Trump could have on Biden would be to let his son rot in prison.
