On April 23rd, Pattaya officials participated in the “Pattaya Roadshow to Chengdu 2024” seminar, aiming to boost Chinese tourism from Chengdu.

The event, organized by Pattaya City, the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Pattaya Office, focused on promoting the city’s various touristic attractions and establishing connections with Chinese travel businesses.

The seminar, conducted in Chengdu, China, saw an attendance of key Thai authorities and Chinese entrepreneurs.

Rung Kanjanawiroj, Director of the TAT Chengdu Office, highlighted Pattaya's distinctive attractions and tourist-centric products, emphasizing their appeal to Chinese travelers.

She also provided Thai businesses with an overview of the current Chinese tourism landscape.

Thailand's Consul General in Chengdu, Witawin Tokiatrungrueang, extended a warm welcome to the seminar participants. He disclosed that the event gathered 30 Thai businesses and more than 67 Chinese travel agencies.

This Pattaya Roadshow is the first of two major events lined up to enhance the city's popularity in China. The second event, "Pattaya Roadshow to Kunming 2024," will further entice Chinese tourists to visit Pattaya, according to Mr. Witawin.
