I'm Thai and my husband is 40 years old Swedish, we're living in Sweden.  We marriaged for 3 years.  I want to move back to Thailand but my husband thinking that it difficult for him to get a work and living permission in Thailand.  He works as a optometrist.  Can he get a work and living permission in Thailand?

Optometrist, that's a eye doctor, right?

He could setup a private practise.

Funny that, I just came across this website.

http://www.thaioptometry.org/

There are 504 optometrists in Thailand at present and many more are in demand!  Looks like he's in the right profession at the right time, lucky you.

BTW He may want to try a private clinic first for the best jobs, like BUPA etc.

Well Daz     "eye doctor" might be a bit over the top as a description...optometrists are not medical graduates, and   there are registration matters, and one wonders how he'll overcome the language difficulties

1. He has a wonderful wife who can help him learn Thai.

2. It's a skill highly in demand, and medical profession related, I may be wrong, but I think things will fall into place which some good research.
