THAILAND issued a joint statement with the US and 15 other countries calling for the release of all hostages, including Thais, being held in the Gaza Strip while supporting negotiations for a permanent ceasefire, TV Channel 7 and CNN said this morning (June 7).

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin posted a message on Facebook saying he, together with friendly countries, issued this statement calling for the release of these hostages as soon as possible while reiterating that the Thai government attaches the highest priority to every effort that leads to their release and encourages the parties involved to quickly reach a negotiated and permanent ceasefire.

The United States, Thailand, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain and the United Kingdom signed the joint statement. Those 17 countries have citizens whom Hamas took captive at the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7.

This is the latest move in the Biden administration’s push to bring to an end the Israel-Hamas war.

The pro Palestinian supporters conveniently forget this little fact, along with the rape and murder of innocent civilians on October 7th.

THAT was genocide.

Free the hostages and the fighting can stop.

What exactly is Thailand doing?

To maintain Thailand's balanced and non-aligned position it should now issue a statement calling for Europe to stop providing arms to Israel.

Yes, but a release of all the hostages would have to be conditional on a permanent ceasefire, withdrawal of all IDF from Gaza, and the beginning of negotiations on a two-state solution.

Everyday many more civilians get killed and not important to Hamas. How many till this moment 30,000 or 40,000? What they care is only those prisoners, to be released from Israel prison.

Hamas have NEVER honoured a ceasefire.

They have been sending rockets to kill civilians in Israel for years.

Fortunately the 'iron dome' stops most of them.

Yet Israel has been murdering Palestinians and stealing their land since Israel was formed.

Do you have any idea what genocide really means?

the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.

That IS what Netanyahu, his murderous Zionist "war cabinet" and the IDF are doing in Gaza and the West Bank, and will keep on doing as long as he and his coalition parties are in power.

Neither has Israel. This conflict did not start on Oct 7. It's been going on for over 70 years.
