32x
Im a big fan of k-1 Not that keen on UFC or Pride as too many of those fighters end up rolling about on the mat.

nikster
Im a big fan of k-1Not that keen on UFC or Pride as too many of those fighters end up rolling about on the mat. agree. loved the concept of UFC but then they made some rules that favor those rolling about the mat people which kinda sucks. it's just not pretty to watch. i would accept it as "well if that is the best way to fight then so be it" but since there were special rules put in place to make it so it's rather boring. K1 is very cool. is that on TV anywhere? Edited August 11, 2007 by nikster
BFC
you are right that wrestling and ground work is not very appealing to many fans watching figthing events. some organizations started to modify MMA rules ( in Japan DEEP , K-1 Heros ) ... in case of no action or slight passivity on the ground they bring the fighters up again , plus the closed guard is only can be held for a very short time now to encorage more action and striking on the ground. so the ground fighting is getting more exciting for casual fans BangkokFightClub.com
