is it a possibility to check for the particular radio station on the internet? many stations offer streaming radio through the internet and it saves a lot of hassles trying to point the antenna towards the right direction.

with an ADSL connection, it should be a breeze.

This may or may not be of any help to you, but i use radio locator at home through the PC and windows media player 11 and it works fine (with broadband). I can listen to my favorite Aussie stations live 24/7. http://www.radio-locator.com/
