For the last 2 years, I've been going to the AIS shop in Big C, Pattaya Thai to renew my contract.

Is it easy --- or even possible to do it from home using a bank transfer from Bangkok Bank?

My girlfriend paid THB1,800 last time and I think I paid THB2,500. The reason for the price difference is because I need the "faster/more powerful" speed, since I use my phone as a hotspot in order to operate my laptop.

I'm not an overly pc literate person, hence my asking, "Is it easy?" I live in Jomtien so, if it's beyond my capability it's no great hardship to visit the AIS shop.

You don't have a contract. We don't know what package you have. The least you can do is actually find out, rather than asking totally abstract questions here 😊

Is it unlimited 1Mbps & 4 Mbps over 12 months?

Tap *121*3# and then the Dial key. What does the SMS reply say?

As I said, I'm not very pc literate --- but thank you for your reply.

I did as you suggested and the SMS which came back was in Thai.

My Thai lady told me that basically, the message said that I had very fast internet speed for "anywhere", but gave no indication of the numbers which you mentioned.

Call AIS on 1175 to ask them what you have currently and get back to me with the reply. Then I can tell you if it is a package that you can renew yourself or whether you'll need AIS to do it for you.

OK, scrolling back through my AIS messages, I see that on renewal I paid THB2,500 for 4Mbps for 12 months. Does this help?

Yes, you can renew that yourself.

Perhaps the day before your package expires, you can top up the 2500 baht and then click through here: https://m.ais.co.th/2500B4Mbps12M

The page with full information is here, but it isn't translated: https://aiscallcenter.ais.co.th/ikm/acc/index.php?kmid=KM1068732

Page for just your package is here: https://aiscallcenter.ais.co.th/ikm/acc/index.php?kmid=KM1129847

But unless you are thinking of upgrading or downgrading, my very first link(in Bold) is all that you need.

Call centre should be able to apply it too. No need to get up from your armchair. They have a choice of 1Mbps(1800 baht), 4Mbps(2500 baht) and 6Mbps(3500 baht).

Many thanks NowNow for your very comprehensive reply.
