Gun-toting dad holds daughter hostage in Bangkok standoff

A dramatic hostage situation unfolded yesterday in Lat Krabang Soi 16, Bangkok, as a father armed with a gun held his ten year old daughter captive inside their home. Police swiftly cordoned off the area, barring any unrelated individuals from entering the tense scene.

Harley-Davidson, a brand synonymous with American craftsmanship, has announced a significant shift in its production strategy. Starting in 2025, some of its iconic motorcycles, specifically the Pan America, Sportster S, and Nightster models, will be produced at Harley-Davidson's manufacturing plant in Thailand. This move is a first for the company, traditionally renowned for its American-made machines.

August 19,  a military vehicle en route to a training exercise in Saraburi lost control and collided with a parked trailer after suffering a tyre blowout, resulting in 18 soldiers being injured, two of them seriously.
