Cannot Recieve SMS Messages on Smartphone
Yes, I used sim 2 in the UK and when I got home the lady at AIS took it out at my request and replaced it with the original one, but she cancelled it and put it back, so I am using sim 1 for my calls and internet and sim 2 has nothing on it. When I phone anyone now ie my wife a different phone no to my own shows up on their phone. -

Documentary explores war crimes being posted on social media.
No it was a German Shepherd. which is sort ironic when you think of it. 70 years after the terrible holocaust Jews are using German dogs in war. It is bloody sick really. -

Huge markup on imported foods. Why?
I've never been to Australia, but I do know their beef is world class. I found this easy, so I'm guessing they do have decent food there...............https://www.australia.com/en/things-to-do/food-and-drinks/guide-to-australian-cuisine.html. -

Bangkok Will Not Flood, PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra Assures
Heads up PM, our moobahn flooded today for the first time in living memory and we've got some pretty geriatric heavyweights here. Round one was a draw but a massive panic with waste deep water, round 2 is scheduled later today when water is released from the Mae Tang reservoir.- 1

The doco shows clearly that Israel are committing war crimes. It is not a Hamas opinion, it is a legal fact proven by the videos the soldiers themselves are posting on social media. but you refuse to watch it. -

Minister Pushes for Bangkok F1 Race Plan with 2024 Deadline
There are so many city street circuits already. I'd love to see them do a run from somewhere in Chiangmai province over the winding roads to Maehongson. The road conditions may be less than desirable, but that'd make it that much more interesting! Or maybe a motorcycle race would be amazing to see there. It would be a long course to control, but I can't imagine it would be any more expensive to organize than a race through Bangkok streets. -

Laminate/Vinyl flooring over wood floor
The floor looks beautiful. I would try to save it. You have something wonderful--laminate/vinyl isn't. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
Cross posted for exposure and information purposes: I started building my taxes spreadsheet last month so I will know in advance where I will end up at year end and have time to adjust things as necessary to minimize tax. My finances are fairly simple, three pensions from two countries, rental income, investments and savings. I file a UK and Thai return (or at least I may file a Thai return). By mixing and matching my income sources, I can earn a decent amount of income each month but avoid any tax, at least I can the way the rules are written currently. The first nine months of the year are behind us so I have those actual numbers, the remaining three months are estimated and monitored. Somebody somewhere may get something useful out of this to help them better understand their tax situation or maybe even help provide some tips regarding strategy. -

Foreign couple loses 100,000 baht to Muay Thai trainer in Phuket
This is endemic in Asian culture . Japanese trust another Japanese in a foreign country even though they knew each other relatively recently. At least that is what my Japanese friend told me in Thailand. He said his country folk will never stab him in the back.
