Four Charges Filed Against Driver in Bus Fire That Killed 23
All their busses had uncertified gass tanks on their busses as this article proves I would expect the operator to do prison time for this From the article However, the Shinbutra Company failed to send the five other buses for inspection at the Lopburi Provincial Transport Department; instead, they went directly to an auto shop in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.... อ่านข่าวต้นฉบับได้ที่ : https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2024/10/03/fatal-bus-fire-probe-exposes-thai-officials-and-company-fraud-claims/?fbclid=IwY2xjawFrjI9leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHbRilX5bY8034nce_60Hs71LFcbLYExpu56AIeUmesI6LFDEpykP6qKaRA_aem_XyFW_tVT9uZolG8xJlNcdQ Where they had the uncertified tanks removed This is a step in the right direction The new regulations require chartered buses to have staff on board, similar to regular public buses. These employees must be trained and complete a course on crisis management My ex girlfriend works for the Ministry of labor labor informed that there was four minutes before the bus was engulfed with flames any Driver following procedure would have had those passengers off that bus in less than two minutes. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Agree. Basically, all they have done is preserve the old rule that income earned in a previous tax year and remitted in the current year is not subject to tax; that does not mean that income earned in current year and remitted in the current is not taxable. You would think if someone has the funds to qualify for this visa they also have the funds to always be one year ahead of themselves in generating passive income. What is not clear is how the rules would apply if they move to residence based taxation - in theory, the remittance rules should trump residency but we'll need to see how they draft the law - if they ever manage it. -

Motorcycle Cuts in Front of 18-Wheeler, Ignites in Fiery Crash: Elderly Man Dies
The incident occurred early morning on October 3, when a motorcycle collided with an 18-wheeler truck, resulting in a fiery fire ball that severely injured an elderly man, who later died from his injuries at Thung Song Hospital. The crash took place at 07:45, in front of the Border Patrol Police Division 42, in Moo 2, Tam Yai Subdistrict, Thung Song District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Police Captain Surin Chuakaew, an investigator at Thung Song Police Station, responded to the scene after receiving reports of a collision between a truck and a motorcycle. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the 18-wheeler Hino truck, registered in Nakhon Si Thammarat, with its front damaged. Nearby, a burned-out Honda motorcycle, also registered in Nakhon Si Thammarat, was found. A grass-cutting machine was still attached to the charred remains of the bike. The motorcyclist, identified as 76-year-old Mr. Nattha (surname withheld), suffered severe burns to his entire body. He was rushed to Thung Song Hospital by rescue workers but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The truck driver, Mr. Kittipong (surname withheld), 37, waited at the scene to surrender to police. He explained that he had been driving from Thung Song market when the accident occurred. As he approached a U-turn, Mr. Nattha suddenly cut in front of the truck on his motorcycle, leaving no time to brake. The truck struck the motorcycle, causing it to scrape along the road, rupturing the petrol tank, which ignited into a ball of flames engulfing both the motorcycle and its rider. Rescue workers extinguish the fire and save Mr. Nattha, but the injuries proved fatal. Authorities conducted an autopsy before releasing the body to the family for funeral arrangements. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and witness testimonies to proceed with the legal process. Picture from responders. -- 2024-10-04 -
