Dear Folks,

 

I have spent most of my life in Asia, East Asia, celebrating DOUBLE TEN day....in Taiwan, for example.  You know what this is.... SHUANG-SHI-JIE....雙十節....

 

Double Ten is the celebration of....

 

 

So, can anyone explain to me why....

 

Here in Thailand, Double-Ten Day now means....BIG RETAIL PROMOTIONS.....?

 

I thought this was a day of REVOLUTION, or something.....

 

You know....the Xinhai Revolution....

 

So....

 

What  does this have to do with getting a Promotion on a Blender or a Meat Roasting Oven.....?

 

Anyone able to explain this to me???
