Economic Vitality..

Chiang Mai is having it rough. Far fewer tourists than projected. Before the floods was the city solvent? The construction projects.. Especially the underground cable project is taking a long time.. Is it a cash flow issue?

The city is probably adding up the cost of the floods right now. The damage is staggering to city property. I wonder how many businesses will be closed.. For 3 months or forever? Thai people are just getting back on their feet from covid debacle and now this.

I see LOTS of empty shops in the city.. Far more homeless sleeping in the city and the graffiti has skyrocketed

I'm guessing Chiang Mai is going to get worse economically speaking?

What was projected versus what has actually happened?  I personally don't see any significant drop from normal of the number of tourists here in CM for this time of year.  And, of course, high season won't start for another 30-60 days.
