The incident occurred on October 17, when a 91-year-old former German executive, Mr. Arnulf, reportedly took his own life after enduring immense financial pressure. The Bang Phli Police Station received an emergency call around 14.00 regarding a man who had shot himself at a residence in Bang Chalong Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Prakan.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers, alongside paramedics from a nearby hospital and volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, found Mr. Arnulf slumped in a chair. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the right temple, with the bullet exiting through the left side of his skull. Paramedics administered emergency aid and quickly transported him to the nearest hospital.

Despite efforts to save his life, reports confirm that Mr. Arnulf succumbed to his injuries shortly after. A .38 caliber revolver was found at the scene, with two spent shell casings and three remaining bullets inside the chamber.

According to initial investigations, Mr. Arnulf had been under severe stress due to persistent financial demands from a Thai woman. He reportedly lost over 30 million baht in the process, which allegedly contributed to his decision to take his own life.

Authorities have collected the firearm and other evidence as part of an ongoing investigation.
