A traffic collision occurred on the morning off December 7, on Jamthewi Road (Lampang-Hang Chat Old Route) near the U-turn at Ban Pa Hiang, Bo Haeo Subdistrict, Mueang District, Lampang Province. The incident involved three vehicles, leaving two individuals seriously injured.

The Lampang Rescue Association and volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation’s Lampang Branch reported the crash, which was captured on CCTV. A pickup truck collided with a car, sending the pickup crashing into another car on the opposite side of the road. One of the car overturned, landing in the middle of the road.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and found two individuals trapped inside the overturned vehicle. They provided first aid before transporting the injured to Lampang Hospital for further treatment.

The crash caused significant damage to all three vehicles involved. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision and reviewing CCTV footage to determine the sequence of events.

The U-turn near Ban Pa Hiang is known to be a high-risk area, raising concerns about road safety and the need for preventive measures to avoid further incidents.

The grey Toyota pulled out into the intersection making itself a target. The pickup driver didn’t have enough time to react probably because of speed, that’s how it appears anyway

I know I will never know the answer to this but I would love to know what was going on in the head of the driver of grey Toyota as he crept across a major highway into the path of a speeding pick-up.

Poor eyesight? Blinded by the sun? Just glanced? Misjudged the speed of the pick-up? Distracted? Drunk? No sleep? Assumed nothing was coming?

What was the decision-making process?

Doesn't look any different to a thousand other U turns......everyone one of them dangerous.
