A shocking three-vehicle collision at an unmarked intersection in Ban Din Sai On, Hua Na Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu , has left eight people injured, with two in critical condition. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred at approximately 14:10 on December 20.

The footage, shared by the Facebook page “Chonburi Breaking News (Local Newsroom),” shows a white car driving straight through the intersection, while a bronze pickup truck approaches from the left, forming a T-shaped traffic flow. Simultaneously, a third vehicle arrives, creating a chaotic moment where all three vehicles collide violently in the centre of the crossroads.

The post described the scene, stating, “#NongBuaLamphu A three-vehicle collision at Ban Din Sai On intersection has resulted in eight injuries, two critically. One individual required CPR. Everything happened so fast.”

The intersection, known locally as a “judgment crossing” due to its lack of traffic signals or warning lights, proved hazardous as the three vehicles arrived at the same time, leading to a devastating crash. The impact was so severe that some occupants were ejected from their vehicles.

Emergency responders confirmed that eight people sustained injuries, two of whom are in critical condition. One individual required CPR at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.

The lack of traffic signals at the intersection is believed to have been a significant factor in the crash. Local authorities are investigating the incident and considering safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.

This tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by unregulated intersections and the importance of vigilance on the roads.

Obviously, ME FIRST didn't work this time - Hope the injured make a swift recovery

Am impressed how they co-ordinated the 3 vehicles to be at the same spot on the road at the same time - new sport 'synchronised driving' ?

Time to get the paint pot out or install some traffic lights.

The gold pick-up got a double tap

Unfortunately this is what it takes for them to do anything about the problem. Obviously it’s been a problem for a long time.

An unmarked intersection is the key…2 parties to blame…the gov for not going their job to minimize accidents and all 3 drivers driving like there is no one else on the road - fools

thais have never heard of situational driving….excessive speed at an unmarked intersection should tell you drive with caution…all 3 drivers got what was coming to them - karma well served

A perfect spot for a mini roundabout/traffic island, if only the locals understood them. They dug the roundabouts up in Pattaya and installed light because there were too many accidents on them. Thais have no concept of the traffic from the right has priority rule. I don't know if it's even in the highway code here.
