Pattaya Port Call, Day 1 - AAR (After Action Report)

Alright shipmates, gathering my thoughts before Command Master Chief finds out what happened at the Walking Street bar and revokes liberty for the whole ship. Buckle up.

It's true most of the BG's are older than you + weigh more than most of you , there's even a few with bigger Johnson's than you.

0800 - Quarters. XO gives the standard "represent the Navy with honor and dignity" speech. Everyone nods solemnly. Nobody means it.

0830 - Chief pulls aside the two E-3s who look like they've never left a Midwest cornfield and gives them The Talk™. You know the one about meaty packages

nyway 0/10 liberty call, would absolutely do again. See you all at Captain's Mast.

It will be interesting to see how this port call goes down.

You often make love to a bar girl eh ? Most times I can barely get the condom on before I have a little accident.

Great bunch of nice guys last time in Patts when I interacted with them as one of the Police V that only worked at the police station.

They invited us out to look over their amphibius landing ship. Really nice people, these young guys on R&R in Patts deserve respect.

Once in a fast-food place (it may have been the Burger King on Beach Road) I saw a young US sailor in mufti, really Opie looking, chomping down, on his face the expression of bliss. Indifferent to the parade of hookers walking past the window. With the impression of sailors on shore leave given by movies, one might get the impression these guys get off the boat and rampage down the street devouring women. He was alone, or was at that moment, maybe his mates ran off to the flesh pits. Maybe Opie already unloaded and the chow was part 2.

Liberty in Pattaya isn’t what it used to be with today’s restrictions. The women and bars are still there but the threat of disciplinary action for having too much fun takes away from the experience.

The older guys who were here in the eighties and before understand.

Let's hope these sailors have a Great Time and enjoy themselves with the visit to Pattaya that they deserve after their deployment. A definite US dollar shot in the arm for Thai businesses in Pattaya.

These patriotic young men and women deserve my respect and admiration for their unselfish duty to protect the United States and the free world. I salute you.

They deserve my respect.....but they have no say in that they have been ordered into duty by an orange idiot and a dumb "chief of war" because the US started a war in which it had no business being involved. And the outcome has been a huge loss of face for the US military/government, and some.

Concerns have grown about the Lincoln’s lengthy deployment following reports of deteriorating mental health among the crew and shortages of supplies including food and hygiene products.

Thai officials have said the Lincoln will stop in Thailand for rest and recovery before returning to its U.S. base.

Probably they now have a McDonald's on board the ship ?
Maybe even some women!
