June 18, 20251 yr I am considered disabled by the VA due to chemical exposure.. I have both legs, both arms, and can walk. But sometimes have a balance problem. Been driving a car in Thailand 10+ years . Failed the motorbike riding test twice. Problem is keeping the bike balanced. I asked the licence office about qualifying as disabled and she quickly said no wthout giving me the chance to explain. She said I did not look disabled. Anyon̈e know the disability qualifications and if not being able to maintain balance is one of them?
June 20, 20251 yr Popular Post I hope you never get a bike license for your safety and for the safety of others.
June 20, 20251 yr How old are you? So you suffer from a balance disorder! I recommend you stop driving yourself! For the price of a motorcycle conversion, you could hire a motorcycle taxi for years.

"Anyon̈e know the disability qualifications..." I guess you mean decided by / published by the US DVA. Other countries also have similar agencies. In at least one case also called the DVA (Australian Department of Veterans Affairs, highly professional and they do have very detailed descriptions / tests / assessment methods to determine if there is a disability caused by actions in a recognized war zone and the aligned difficulties etc., and the level of disability.

June 24, 20251 yr Do not laugh; why not put a sidecar on a motorbike? That would be safer than riding a solo motorbike. I have had a hip replacement and do not enjoy riding a solo bike, so I fitted a sidecar a few years ago, now, no problems. But, can you get a DL in Thailand by riding a motorbike and sidecar for the test? I have my doubts.
