Holidaymakers, rejoice! Thai VietJet Air is set to launch a new direct flight from Mumbai to Phuket this August, opening an affordable route to Thailand's sun-drenched beaches and lively atmosphere.

The budget airline, part of VietJet Aviation Group, aims to make travel between India and Thailand more accessible. This new flight will operate four times a week, offering competitive fares that cater to both business and leisure travellers. The move adds to their existing daily service from Mumbai to Bangkok, further solidifying the airline’s presence in India.

Travellers will board a 180-seat Airbus A320, configured entirely in economy class. While the service is straightforward, it promises cost-effectiveness, leaving you with extra cash—roughly ₹1,000 translates to around 440 Thai Baht—for that beachside cocktail or cherished souvenir.

Taking approximately four and a half hours, the flights are scheduled for late-night departures, ensuring you arrive in Phuket ready to dive straight into your holiday, without losing a day to travel.

According to a Thai VietJet Air spokesperson, the new schedule is "meticulously planned to ensure smooth connections and maximum convenience for Indian passengers." This expansion highlights the airline’s commitment to bolstering the travel bridge between India and Thailand.

As you plan your Phuket escape, remember the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) has replaced the traditional paper form. This mandatory online form must be completed at least 72 hours before arrival to ensure a seamless entry.

Whether it's the allure of golden beaches, vibrant nightlife, or delectable cuisine, this direct route promises to make your dream getaway to Phuket more accessible than ever. Pack your bags and get ready to experience the charm of Thailand, more convenient and budget-friendly than before!
