A 62-year-old Japanese man was fined after cosplaying in a bikini and dancing in Hat Yai streets, claiming it was for his YouTube channel.

Police in Hatyai have apprehended a 62-year-old Japanese national, known as Mr. Yasuda, for public indecency. Earlier sightings depicted him in a cosplay bikini, driving a motorcycle around Hatyai while dancing provocatively. His antics were widely shared on social media, prompting both criticism and curiosity about his identity.

On July 20, Mr. Yasuda turned himself in to the police following a search launched due to his unsuitable behaviour, which was considered lewd. Riding a rented motorcycle, Yasuda’s actions had been flagged by local authorities.

The rental agency reached out to him, prompting him to voluntarily appear at the police station.

Having resided in Hatyai for about a decade, Mr. Yasuda speaks Thai fluently. He explained that his eccentric display was part of his YouTuber persona, boasting over 2,000 followers.

He admitted that his choice of attire was driven by the hot weather, acknowledged the inappropriateness of his actions, and offered an apology for any offence caused.

The police charged him with public indecency and fined him 5,000 baht. Despite the incident, Mr. Yasuda holds a valid visa and passport and was subsequently released.

Possibly he moved  in a lewd manner.

Writhing like a Japanese Octopus.

Are they sure that's not the brass in that photo that the three indians called the police on in Pattaya for having small tits? 😀

He's Japanese, so a string bikini most likely covered his unmentionables.

I thought this was normal behavior on Gay Parades.

Other than posting utter rubbish.

So are all ladyboys getting charged for the same thing as this is a common occurrence: a male dancing in an indecent way while wearing bugger all.

Or were the coppers short of a few thousand baht and the Japanese guy just happened to drive past at the right time?

That's not a bikini top, that's a nipple holder.

What an arrest, unbelievable crime. Arresting officers must be promoted to interpol.

A poor attempt of impersonating a ladyboy.

Where's the video? LOL

Let us do absolutely everything in our power to discourage any sort of eccentricity, any sort of public fun and games, and men are encouraged to become women, no issues with that, but we put limits on that area of life and we don't allow people to play with that theme. Commit yourself entirely, or get arrested. Who knows, horror of horrors, a ladyboy might get offended.

japanese are over-worked

this is the resulting neurosis

A whole 2,000 followers.  All that internet fame went to his head.

They are the crème de la crème of followers though ...

I'm with Thai police on this one, lock the door and throw away the key.

This is no way for a grown man to behave.

Sets a bad example to the quality Thai youth.

Lewd ... seriously.  Be funny if it wasn't sad.    Some selective prosecution, as surely theirs a few karaoke places offering a bit more, in the back rooms, or massages at the hotels, that aren't exactly therapeutic.

Him in a mini bikini top ... now that is funny :cheesy:

2000 is enough to be monetized.  So he's on his way to early retirement, and news like this, just makes it easier for him.   Probably why he turned himself in.  WIN WIN for him 👍
