That's another thing that makes the location feel not right me. Most Thai's, men and women, don't want to be outside much. Most kind of stay indoors or hang out in front of places a lot only where there is a shade umbrella or overhang. Where I am from there is a big culture of having fun in the sun, enjoying being outdoors, people don't want to hang around inside all day. Same for walking around, people don't like it here. They want to be driven or take taxi's. I can still do those things my way, but when nobody else is enjoying doing them it feels off somehow.
