The blame is mostly on Putin but again, Trump does have the power to force Putin into a more reasonable negotiating position, and he refuses.

Bizarrely, again and again again he gives Putin more time, and never takes effective action.

You're correct the Blame is mostly (actually entirely) on Putin, but Please tell me what power does Trump have to force Putin to do something he doesn't want to do?

Please don't say you want America to get involved in the war with boots on the grounds?

Increasing military aid. Trump only SELLS arms. He gives nothing.

Possibly using the frozen billions in Russian assets as well.

Cut off Putin's money to wage the war and then yes that is pressure to make him accept more reasonable terms to end the war.

It's really the only way.

The US can put all the sanctions in the world on Russia, but if other countries dont cooperate it means nothing. 

Currently we have several countries that ignore the sanctions (India, China, Turkey) 

Europe still bought $41 Billion worth the products from Russia in 2024 (granted that's a 86% reduction from pre-war)

 

The USA just hit India with a increase of 25% for a total of a 50% tariff as a result for buying Russian oil.

Putin's main goal after meeting with Trump was to challenge NATO and the EU, thus every single day he ramped up the provocations sending flying drones over NATO countries, before it was Romania now it's mainly Poland, just sheer provocation, he has to be stopped one way or another he has to be stopped from killing thousands of innocent civilians even though he claims the target were military sites, a village with mainly older retired people on they way to collect their pensions, how can they be claimed as military target the MF should be hanged
