There is a whole world of difference in fighting an armed military who are defending their country and slaughtering unarmed women, children and babies,

 

If you don't know the difference, now is the time to do some research and learn.

The Russians were taking young men getting off buses, on their way to work, UNi , shopping. Some had their friends, girlfriends with them, trying to stop it and screaming. Can’t remember what news it was on but it was really upsetting to look at.

Basically a well paid "volunteer army". As opposed to the Ukrainian army. What if the Russians switch to a "suscscription army"? Easily suppliying 30'000 new men to their armed forces PER MONTH.

I doubt Russia has the funds to get many volontiers at that cost.

Yes, that's why Russians don't leave their home anymore and not go to work anymore with the result that the Russian Economy has collapsed for the 77 time.

Of course he is.  Russia is losing. Ukraine is winning.  Slave Ukraine!  The Russia military will grind to a stop as soon as they run out of North Korean washing machine chips for their missiles. The Ukrainians will be chasing Ruskies back to the Urals any day now.  🇺🇦

So if the Russian military is in such dire straits and are struggling to field a full team to fight what is essentially a regional border conflict, why is all of Europe declaring Russia an existential threat and rattling their sabres?

 

Oh that's right - start a major European conflict in an effort to quell the disgruntled masses from starting multiple civil wars against their own corrupt governments and delay even further the covid corruption truths from coming out. And in the case of Soviet Britain, provide an ideal opportunity for the corrupt parliament to enforce Blair's Civil Liberties Act (martial law) and rapidly roll out the compulsory digital ID system that has been planned for years.

I had a Great Uncle who deserted during WW1. They found him under the kitchen table, and dragged him back.

 

Another was a Bevin Boy, who had enough of digging out coal. They found him, and he went on trial, but he played the system, buying enough time that the war was all but over, so he took the option of uniform, time served. By the time he finished Basic, the war was over.

 

21,000 Americans deserted during WW2, resulting in 49 death sentences. 6000 were arrested for draft evasion, which meant someone went to their home, and dragged them off in handcuffs.

As far as I am aware only Ukraine is dragging folks off the street to fight at the front and has been doing for some time - bussification as it is known. Russia is paying and paying royally for it's active combat troops which if you watch that sobering award winning movie I posted "Russians at War" on another  thread some make abundantly clear. Russia officially states that conscripts cannot be deployed to combat with less than four months of training and cannot be deployed outside of Russia so there is a big difference.
