President Donald Trump has threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act as tensions rise in Minneapolis. This comes after two shootings involving federal officers during ICE operations. Trump announced on social media that he would act if local leaders failed to control violence against ICE agents.

The situation has escalated following incidents involving federal officers in Minneapolis. A recent shooting involved a person allegedly fleeing a traffic stop, and another incident a week prior resulted in the death of Renee Good. Local officials are disputing the federal account of these events, and Minnesota's Governor Tim Walz has urged Trump to lower the rhetoric, calling for peace.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has accused Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey of encouraging violence, labelling their actions as "terrorism." Governor Walz and Mayor Frey have urged residents to protest peacefully and criticised federal law enforcement's presence. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem indicated there are no plans to withdraw from Minnesota and that the Insurrection Act discussions are ongoing.

Looking ahead, Trump's potential use of the Insurrection Act remains uncertain. Past instances of its application highlight its use in extreme circumstances. Democrats are voicing strong opposition, with some accusing Trump of using federal agencies as private enforcers. Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson has expressed support for Trump's stance, citing issues of control in Minnesota. The White House maintains that the Insurrection Act is an option for the president, reported ABC News.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump threatens to invoke the Insurrection Act amid Minneapolis unrest.

  • Tensions rise after shootings involving federal officers during ICE operations.

  • Local leaders call for peace, while federal discussions on the Act continue.

We know who ,what, where, why & How much, its just a question of finding reasonable prosecutors to put it all together before it gets out of hand and turns very ugly.

Did you see the video of people looting one of the authorities vehicles ? Its been reported that several vehicles have been vandalized.

Other instances of looting and vandalism have also been reported

My favorite....did you see the citizens stopping vehicles and people demanding id and asking personal info about them. Refusing to let them pass until they were satisfied.

You know doing the exact same thing they were protesting against.

After deporting all the Somalis, perhaps they should deport every “liberal” US citizen that was involved in the riots. If Somalis are so culturally enriching, the liberal left should have no problem living there and should find it quite pleasant.

It’s not like Somalia is a “s#hithole” like that nasty man in the white house says…..or is it?

Isn't it amusing to remember that core MAGA posters used to argue that Trump was not allowed to invoke the insurrection act on Jan.6, in a lame attempt to justify the fact that Trump did nothing to stop the assault! 😅

Unless brought under control, ICE will eventually be used against US Citizens.

It’s being funded to become a large paramilitary force only answerable to the President.
