Transferring Car Ownership

Featured Replies

Me and wifey bought a car together two years ago.

It was registered in her name at the time, but now we would like to transfer the ownership to me. Does anyone know what is involved in this process?

Sorry to hijack your post but I too would like similar information.

I have a number of motorcycles registerted in my wifes name. Ideally, I would either like to transfer ownership / registration to my name, or my Son. I am a foreign national, my Son is Thai but a infant.

Anybody have any advice, or experiences in this matter please.

Kind regards

You need the normal stuff , Copy passport , letter from embassy, wifes ID , Wifes TB , take these along to the land transport office where your car is registered or the one at JJ.

Fill out a few forms , have the car inspected and pay the fee (about B250 if I remember right)

All easy you can get it done in 30 mins if its not too busy.

Cheers

:o And after 30 mins I hv got a car in my name lol
