I used Master Class Translation Services

112 Wireless Road.

Tel 02651-4266

Fax 02651- 4267

Email: [email protected]

The whole cost was 9000 baht. Translation of various documents, Amphur and collection of passport & affirmation of freedom to marry from the Brit embassy.

It was hassle free and quick.

They were recommended to my by another member of this forum.

l got married 4 years ago and used a company from Pattaya, sorry cant remember his name, they did all the running around for me, all we had to do was turn up on the day and sign a few papers at a hotel in Bangkok and then the registry office took maybe 2 hours max.

The cost was 14,000 baht for everything, its really hard work if you try to save a few baht doing the translation and getting all the relevant documents to the correct offices yourself, better to use a company the saving was only 4,000 - 5,000 baht doing it yourself and about 2 days running around Bangkok ! :o

Forgot to say 14,000 baht was the price including a limo from Pattaya to Bangkok and back

9000 baht is way over priced. i remember when i got married i came on here and asked for different prices and what i paid ended up being 1/5 of what others mentioned. i think paid around 2-3k total.

l think it has alot to do with the amount of documentation you require this differs from one person to another, if you've been married before you need a declaration from a lawyer l think or possibly your embassy to state that you are legally free to marry, and the more documents you have the more you will need translated which adds to the overall cost.

I actually think it was a very good price. As the only thing I had to do myself was go to the Brit Embassy and with my affirmation of Freedom to marry.

The translation service, collected it for me. They translated all the neccessary documents from English to Thai, and all the Thai documents to English.

They also paid for our transport to and from the amphur, and delivered the outstanding documents to us at our hotel.

And as the company had been recommended to me by a forum member I already had an idea of the cost.
