I was reading a Thai forum and came across a request for help by a member having problems with a piece of equipment.

The OP addressed the request to พ่อ แม่ พี่ น้อง และเพื่อน ๆ ที่รัก ทุกท่าน

It brought a smile to my face and I’m sure they had all members covered.

What about ปู่ ย่า ตา ยาย, the grandparent generation? and, ทวด, the great grandparent which children increasingly know due to increasing logevity. Let's not be geriatrically insensitive.

Yeah we mustn’t be insensitive to my generation. :o

When I read it I wondered if it was the Thai equivalent of Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears
