He was offered to be transferred back to Norway after he was sentenced, but denied the offer, because he wanted to stay in Thailand. He got 15 years sentence, but because of his cooperation with the police he was sentenced to 9, so he should be out by now. His was sentenced in 2015.

Since then nobody have heard about him. Most likely in Cambodia or Phil ? Just speculations.

Yes, the impetus of the OP was that he's out by now. The AI generated response as suggested by another poster said he was deported and banned. I'm hoping that is the case.
