For those of you who oppose the war in Iran. What are you actually doing about it ?

Other than posting on AN.

Any suggestions?as far as I know we can voice our disapproval and vote.

Have you contacted your member of congress senator or anything ? Maybe start a grass roots sort of thing to gather voices and start to help change peoples minds ? Campaign for your local riding or congress person ? Volunteer etc.

Do you vote for midterms. I dont know how that works so.

Voting for new president is still a ways off so for that you have to wait.

This is just a transparent all-purpose kind of deflection. This same kind of comment can be made about any political issue . Namely, if you feel so strongly about issue X, what have you done about it. It's just designed to shift focus from the issue, which in this case is the Iranian war, to members of aseannow.com instead.

If aseannow was some kind of political action committee, whose purpose is to make political changes, you would have made a good point. But it isn't, so you haven't.

I'd like to claim that my suggestion was a trap designed to snare war enthusiasts. But I have to confess that such wasn't the case. Still, you managed to grasp that baton and run with it.

Please do show a single comment iI have made to support the war. I have in fact stated many times on here I abhor violence. Also seems you're yet another who simply can't grasp basic concepts and mistake my disdain for the extreme left as support for Trump. Even after I have posted multiple times you still come back with the same npc snooze fest.

In the light of that statement, perhaps you might kick the discussion off by telling us all what you’ve done to oppose this war you now tell us you have not supported.

I volunteer at my local Veterans society. I also wrote a big letter to my mp and mpp telling them how proud I was that we are not in the war. I campaigned for peace and joined a hug session as well. We all felt like we made a big difference with our vibes.

I also tweeted some people with some coy statements. Thank you for your valuable input to this matter. You're on the right side of history.

There are very few people who would say they don't oppose war in general. It's this war that's the issue.
