March 30Mar 30 I'm going to Vientiane on Friday to do my non-B visa, and I'm just now reading that it's all online now and I'm curious as to how long the whole process takes. If anyone has done one recently, I'd really appreciate any input. Maybe how long it took, and quirks of the online system. I've got a whole bunch of documents so I'm curious should they be scanned into one pdf file, or do they need to be individual files? Meesuk agency wants 6000 just to do the application process, and considering the actual fee is only 2000, I'd really rather not pay that much if the process isn't overly complicated.Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance!
March 30Mar 30 I can't help with the non - B , but I got a SETV in Vientiane a few weeks ago . I uploaded all the required documents on Sunday evening, went to the consulate on Monday morning and joined the queue to pay . I got the visa by email the same day . Printing out the application form can be done at King photo digital, on the main road below the big fountain, or by the side of the road next to the consulate. I walked there from my gh in the riverside area , took 40 mins . There are 2 Thai govt. Officers, check you go to the right one to pay . Not that much do do in Vientiane, 3 or 4 days there is probably enough. Whitelotus cafe is good and not expensive. Watch out for the tuk tuk drivers at the main bus station, they try and rip you off as much as they can , that's why I started walking everywhere.
