Bangkok Raids Uncover South Korean Scam Bases

Thai police arrested 11 South Korean nationals accused of operating call centre scams from rented luxury homes in Bangkok. The raids followed a long-running investigation carried out with support from the South Korean Embassy. Officers said the group allegedly posed as government officials or lawyers and pressured victims in South Korea to transfer money. At the properties, police found phones, computers, internet equipment, desks, and written scripts used to deceive targets. The suspects now face charges for working without permits in Thailand, and authorities are coordinating with Seoul on further legal action.
