Bangkok Chosen to Host Eurovision Asia Final

Eurovision is set to expand into Asia for the first time, with Bangkok selected as the host city for the grand final on November 14. Broadcasters from 10 countries have already confirmed their participation, with organisers expecting more to join. Each country will stage its own national selection before sending an act to the live final in Thailand. Organisers described the move as a major new chapter for a contest that has been running since 1956. The Bangkok event is expected to bring a large regional spotlight to music, performance, and cross-border entertainment.

Why call it "Eurovision Asia" - Why not just call it "Asiavision Song Contest"?
