Best Internet in Bangkok--value for speed

Featured Replies

We've had CAT Fibre-to-Home for eight years. This has switched to NT. We pay B635 per month for 1GB download.

They've always been very good on service, regularly replacing our modems, coming in the middle of the night.

Anybody else think any other fibre Internet is better?

Yeah, we have NT FTTH (formerly as ToT), 1G down, 500M up (although we measure at a gig up too).

Service is pretty reliable (we have a 3G backup too as I need reliable internet for work) and the call centre and technicians are effective.

When a brush fire (OK, some bright spark decided to clear his land with a gallon of diesel and a match) took out the trunk and the village power, the internet was back up before the power!

I found out later that the fibre tech had spliced in a temporary length and run it along the ground whilst the poles were sorted by PEA.

I have had TOT/NT for over eight years and hardly ever an issue, fast on service and a good price for the three points I have set up in our compound. If it works don't switch it.

AIS & mesh router works great.

Very pleased with NT Fibre service, been with them 12 years.

I notice this month on my DTAC prepaid I am getting free 3GB internet max speeds each day expiring at midnight that I never asked for. Must be some April Songkran promotion?. Saves buying a package when leaving the area of my NT Wifi.

Constant promotions from AIS as well. I never notice the difference

The topic is a bit vague. For standard home use, 1Gb up & down, all of the providers are reasonable and mostly reliable. For high-use environments like offices, the rates are obviously more complicated. In the past, I have been able to negotiate with True and some of the other suppliers depending on requirements.

I have had 3bb for 8 years and have found the service very reliable but when problem arise can take many days to arrive.True refused to even give me a quote or come to my house in Cha Am to connect when I considered a change in 2025.
