Sakeo, Buriram provinces – bicycling in border area ok?

Hello, on a long Thailand round trip with bicycle and rental car I might want to bicycle as a tourist around

• Khlong Had, Aranyapthrathet in Sakeo province

• South Buriram province (Ban Khruat, Lahan Sai), south Sisaket province (south of Kantharalak)

These areas were not accessible for tourists (if they noticed you) last year, in December 2025 (2568 BE) during the Thai-Cambodian conflict. In previous years, one could go next to any border without a problem at all.

Do you know certainly how the situation is now? Have you heard any reliable forecasts - maybe some official statement like "This area will be closed for tourists until December 2026/2568"?.

I only want to travel there starting in November 2026. Of course things can't be predicted for certain, but maybe it's possible to see a trend?

Notes:

• I do NOT want to cross the border. I am just interested in countryside and culture there, staying on regular roads including open field roads.
