Why Thai Women

siamamerican

Recommended Posts

I've been in many countries and have had many short and a few long relationships. My first trip to Thailand I fell in love with the place. The food was great, beautiful places to see, ... With that said, if it wasn't for the women, I wouldn't have stayed as long as I did.

In the US, dating can be difficult. It's time consuming and certain amount of commitment is expected in most cases. In Thailand, it was predominantly hassle free for a myriad of reasons. The main one being relative wealth.

I'm not repulsed by US women. I find them to be intelligent and attractive. Quite a few posts belittle women in their home country and lack sincerity. The power ex pats have seems to cloud their better judgment at times.

Many men, myself included, found Thailand to be an easy place to enjoy a woman's company. Nothing wrong with that, but insulting non-Thai women as a whole is ridiculous.

Quite often the insults are the cries of the wounded. They got dumped and now they lash out. That immaturity is probably half the reason they got turfed in the first place.

As far as Thai women go, for many of us it wasn't an overt thing, it's just who we happened to meet. :o

Fascinating but what are we supposed to say to this?

You say that their economic power over Thai women clouds expats' better judgment at times. Your special merit is that you don't slag off American women, but you find Thailand a plesant place to enjoy womens' company for short relationships.

You of course have full insight and your judgment is not clouded when you exercise the economic power that you undoubtedly have over Thai women?

I presume not abusing American women justifies the exercise of that power?

Insulting non-Thai women or Thai women as a whole is ridiculous however it sadly appears to be a favourite pastime of some TV members.

You've got that right Jetjock, many posters here relish in slagging off Thailand and Thai people in general, it appears to be totally acceptable, but woe betide any member here that slags off Farangs!

Then he's in for a shitstorm.

Not sure what you're supposed to say. I think you did a good job though of expressing yourself.

I wasn't trying to justify my actions - just expressing some opinions and thoughts. Not abusing American women doesn't entitle me to exercise any power. Criticizing American women does seem trite.

"Many men, myself included, found Thailand to be an easy place to enjoy a woman's company" Wait until they get really upset and mental.

I'm not repulsed by US women. I find them to be intelligent and attractive.

Luckily for you, you live in USA.

This makes a refreshing change saimamerican. I am not sure how well it will be received amongst the regular western women bashers. Expect to take some flack for not joining ranks. But, with your unbiased attitude, I am sure you probably have an easier time dating women of all nationalities and races than the men who may find your view distasteful, so let them blow hot air.

I agree your point. As a Brit I know little about American women other than the very positive impression from the many I've met, but I'm staggered by the anti-feminist passions they seem to arouse among American men settled here who depict their womanhood as ogres. In the UK, the feminist movement has been strong with its positive and negative sides but it does not seem to provoke a broad based hatred of women.

I am a bit baffled. In a divorce you always lose half your shirt, as I well know but that's not a reason to hate women!

Not too much flack as of yet. As for dating, the wife would be a tad upset.

The post was in reference to an earlier time I spent in Thailand and my life has changed. Casual dating was fun, but one of the dates evolved into marriage. My next stay in Thailand will be a little different. No casual dating. I'll have to find other interests.

I witnessed 3 teenage girls swearing at a passer by yesterday for no reason other then the fact he was there, they were fat as <deleted> and smoking, i thought if this is the future of English women i cant wait to get out.

I personally want a slim, feminine, non-aggressive girl who can cook a meal from time to time, unfortunately these type of women are an endangered species where i live.

Consider myself lucky, but not because I live in the USA. I was with my brother last year and he was watching a movie/show on his laptop with your avatar in it. Quite humorous. What is the title of the show.

Thanks

And many never even had the opportunity to be dumped, they never ever had a date !

Naka.

Hi Siamamerican,

I agree with Eek -- with your good manners and attitude, I can see how you would be attractive to women from many different countries! :o

and that's the Police :D

FWIW I think Proffessor Higgins' question "why can't women be more like men?" has sadly come far too true. And if I wanted to marry a man, I would marry the real thing........less aggro :D

Whilst I have nothing against women (got one at home myself :D ) many females seem not to realise that they have to bring things to the deal APART FROM the hole (s :D:o ) they sit on, especially as this is a currency long since devalued by over supply outside the bounds of a long term R/T. Take this away and often you have little left that apart from expensive aggravation.

Sadly IME many women do rather over rate their own overall desirability package.......and who is going to enlighten them and say "you are simply not worth it" - not a lot of money to made on that one.........

I thought I'd never find a good Thai woman and had given up actively looking and that's when I found one.

There are loads of good women out there, I have a very dear friend who works hard in an office, she's very attractive but not much time to socialise, she is seeeking a Farang boyfriend, No, not for money as she does not need it, she is 26 -27years old, comes from a stable background, never married , no children etc.............

She as asked me on numerous occasions if I know a suitable Farang, but for the life of me, I don't.

I know many many Farangs in Thailand, yet I cannot reccomend any of them to my friend. Most Farangs in Thailand could not pass the test.

You want to put yourself forward as a candidate?

You think you will make the grade?

What does it say about you when all your acquaintances are trash?

Still whinging about getting ripped off by that guy? You aren't any better than those losers moaning about western women all the time, you just moan about the men instead. You're sounding like a broken record Magio, stop whinging and get over it already. :o

1) You will not use thaivisa.com to post any material which is knowingly or can be reasonably construed as false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, referencing prostitution (including bargirls and barboys), referencing suicide, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law.

2) Posting another members personal details, photos or web site details is forbidden and will result in being banned. Excessive, aggressive posts against other members, moderators and admin; or flaming will not be tolerated. 'Flaming' is best defined as posting or responding to a message in a way clearly intended to incite useless arguments, rants, and/or for launching personal attacks, insulting, being hateful, useless criticism, name calling, swearing and other bad behavior or comments meant to incite anger.

Do not post inflammatory messages on the forum, or any attempt to disrupt discussions to upset its participants. The word, or its derivative, "trolling", is used to describe such messages or the act of posting them.

3) Religious or racial slurs, rude and degrading comments towards women, or extremely negative views of Thailand will not be tolerated.

Those in violation of these rules will find themselves warned and may find their posting rights suspended.

Lets try to keep this civil.
