When did YOU first fall in love with DIY GeoThermal Cooling potential?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Being an admirer of ThermoDynamics, I have long had Walter-Mitty-type dreams of harnessing the cooling power of the Earth in order to reduce the heat energy in my house.

Serendipitously this morning, I came across a nice little vid that demonstrates the benefits of what I had only, heretofore; dreamt about. (The TV Editor hates this sentence, but I love it. I win.)

I watched this entire attached vid through from beginning to end.

I am thinking that this guy has addressed many important considerations.

Anyone in their right mind would realize that, in Thailand, where the sun is so hot, and where insulation values for homes is so low, that....GEO-THERMAL solutions is the way to go.

Also, fortunately, here in these parts, there are many guys who are willing to dig ditches and holes for not much money, unlike in the USA, where nobody works for a living.

Of course, you gotta own your own house and land, or at least have a long-term lease on land, in order to make this solution truly mind-bending.

How might one even improve on this idea, further?

This solution can reduce a lot of noise at the evaporator coil, and also at the condenser coil, as well.

Finally, it seems, I am seeing my dream come true.......???

This is just so "cool".

Best regards,

Gamma

Note: I enjoy the Science of this Solution, but I am lazy, and I do not own land in Thailand, or I would institute this solution tomorrow morning.

Old hat.
